Water in the dishwasher
DV! We bought a Bosch dishwasher less than a month ago. During this time, after the washing cycle is completed and the water is completely drained, water is drawn back into the pan through the hole on the side below. We applied under warranty, but since there is no warranty service in our city, the master tried to consult remotely and rendered a verdict that most likely this was not a warranty case, but he could not clearly explain what it was and where the water was coming from. The most interesting thing is that after a forced drain (reset button), water does not flow through this hole. Maybe someone knows what this is and how to help our problem?

We have the same story, machine SMV25EX01R. I don’t know, I tried to figure it out, maybe it’s something new in technology, or maybe there’s something wrong. We’ll find out at the Bosch service center.
Re: Water in the dishwasher
Possible reasons... Water in a switched off dishwasher can come from both the sewer and the water supply. 1. The PMM drain from the siphon goes either horizontally or downwards / you need to raise the PMM hose higher / 2. Clogged sewer in the kitchen / clean it / 3. The siphon valve is clogged or missing. From time to time, the siphon may become clogged and while using the sink, the water level in it rises, water enters the drain hose, and then into the sump. 4. Drain hose clogged. 5. Water drain check valve. 6. Water supply fill valve. Close the water supply tap and observe, if the flow of water stops, then the drain system is to blame, and if not, the fill valve is not working correctly.
Re: Water in the dishwasher
Artem, but the point is that approximately the same amount of water flows out of this hole at the end of the cycle, and as soon as it is filled with water just above the filter mesh, the water stops flowing. When the next cycle is turned on, the pump pumps out this water and if the new cycle is immediately reset, it does not draw water back. The main question is what kind of hole is this and where does the water remain there at the end of the cycle?

Re: Water in the dishwasher
A solution was found - they officially called the service from Bosch. Conclusion - the condensate line valve from the heat exchanger is faulty. They offered to fix it on the spot by disassembling the PMM, but since 14 days had not passed since the date of purchase, they decided to exchange it for the same new one... The service center said that the problem is common and, in principle, is considered not serious and is easily corrected.
