PMM Beko DIS 25010 - leaves a white coating, runs out of salt quickly

Post by Elena K »

The dishwasher is two years old. It began to leave a strong white residue on the dishes. The indicator lights up indicating that the salt has run out. Added a full tank of salt. After two washes, the indicator is on again indicating that the salt has run out and again white coatingon dishes and on the walls of the dishwasher. The salt tank is screwed in well. There is a rinse aid. I use finish (3in1 tablets, salt, rinse aid). I ran it through with a special cleaning agent (also a finish) - it didn’t help. First, the water hardness was set to 4 (hard water). I set it to 2. The problem remained: after two washes it says that the salt has run out, there is a white coating. Tell me, please, what could be the problem?

When I open the salt tank, I see that salt exists, but somewhere deep. Those. I filled the tank to capacity, and after two washes it was already somewhere at the bottom, I couldn’t reach it with my hand. If salt leaks, it is not clear how, if the tank is tightly closed and there are no cracks on it or on the lid.

Most likely it’s leaking somewhere, it can’t salt end after several washes, especially if there is a strong coating inside the PMM means salt washes into the washing chamber, in the Midea PMM there was such a massive problem, the lid was defective, moreover, it was without visible damage, it did not press tightly, try the lid wrap the salt tank in cellophane and screw tightly, the PMM is made so that salt there is no way to get from the container into the washing chamber, only through the lid.

Thanks a lot! Most likely, you are right. I’ll try to wrap the lid with a bag and check :)

I solved the problem this way: I simply stopped adding salt. At all. The cellophane on the lid doesn’t help for long. And this is just a way to find out that the problem is the depressurization of the lid/salt tank. After I stopped using salt, everything was fine. I have 3in1 tablets, they have some salt content. Yes, perhaps this will not really save my PMM from failure in the future due to deposits. But what to do.... There are actually two solutions here: 1. apply for repairs and there, most likely, a money scam will begin. 2. Use the machine without adding salt and over time simply change it to a more reliable model
