There is a Bosch SPS40E42, where there is no forced temperature of 65 degrees or higher. You can set a guaranteed Eco 50 degrees or Auto - 45-65 and rely on the intelligence of the machine.
The dishwasher began to wash dishes poorly. I keep an eye on the filters and rocker arms - everything looks clean on the outside. Previously, with a similar problem, we used dishwasher cleaner (Topper, I think), and it helped (a couple of times with an interval of about a month and a half).
Next, I called the repairman (for a different reason), he authoritatively stated that there is no need to use cleaners for proper manual cleaning. It’s like a marketing ploy. They stopped.
Now for a month we have been struggling with half-dissolved tablets and unwashed dishes.
Question - how to use a cleaner with a wax/paraffin plug that dissolves at 65 degrees and above? I don’t have such a program.
During early applications in auto mode, I was either lucky, or the machine worked differently, the plug dissolved, everything was cleaned.
Now it doesn’t dissolve. The bottle remains intact after the cycle.
I tried to forcefully stop the machine in the middle of the cycle, pierce the plug and pour the contents into the machine, then resume the program - I did not see any cleaning effect.

Re: Bosch SPS40E42 how to clean
Are the amounts of salt and rinse aid set correctly? Is there a smell that prevents the rocker arms from rotating? Are the dishes arranged correctly? Are you overloading your car by using a quick wash or a half load? Does it heat the water? Does the tablet fall into the basket? If you use 3 in 1 tablets, look at the expiration date. Try changing your detergent.
Re: Bosch SPS40E42 how to clean
We do not use rinse aid. Water hardness indicators did not change relative to "excellent soap." The problem persists even when the PMM is started without dishes (the tablet does not completely dissolve). With any programs, with any pills. It heats the water. but is it enough - who knows.
Following up the question, if you always use salt in the dishwasher, does this somehow protect the heating element from scale? Do I need to periodically run the dishwasher separately with descaling cleaner?

I have the same problem, I cleaned everything, changed the tablets/powder, it didn’t help, some of the powder and drops remain on the door, I suspect that it’s not heating up, but I want to believe that the problem is something else.

If it weren’t for heating, you would have noticed it immediately. It would show an error and thereby notice that the dishes are cold. Do you place the tablet or powder in the dry compartment?
Re: Bosch SPS40E42 how to clean
It definitely warms me up. I don’t know if it’s enough. I put the tablet in both the wet and dry compartments - the result is always the same, the tablet is spat out, undissolved. The quality of washing has deteriorated. but not catastrophic. I have a feeling that the pressure in the upper rocker arms is rather weak. Why I think so - who knows.
I will repeat the question - "Following up the question, if you always use salt in the dishwasher, does this somehow protect the heating element from scale? Is it necessary to periodically run the dishwasher separately with a descaling cleaner?"

Are the rocker arms spinning? Are the dishes hot after drying?
Sent after 2 minutes 13 seconds: The salt is mixed with the resin and after regeneration the water is softened.
Sent after 5 minutes 37 seconds:
So, everything in order: It is recommended to wash the filters after each wash. Place the tablet in a dry compartment (so as not to stick); the rocker arms should rotate under the pressure of the water and not be clogged with food debris. See if the rocker arms rotate easily and if there is any dirt on the axle (select and check).
The dishes must be folded correctly. Do not use the short program for heavily soiled dishes. Make sure that the water is heating (open the door in the middle of the program, if steam comes out, then everything is fine). do you use any odorous products that hang and block the rocker arms from rotating).

Re: Bosch SPS40E42 how to clean
The rocker arms rotate (the initial position and the final position are different). The dishes are hot. We place the dishes in the dishwasher, previously cleared of food residues. I don’t clean the filters every time, because... they are almost perfectly clean. For the sake of experiment, I cleaned it every time - nothing changed. I removed the rocker arms, checked the water pressure - everything flows easily. Rotation is easy. I opened it in the middle of the wash - it never warmed up to steam, just very hot water. We almost always use eco 55 degrees. Because on the machine - the dishes are washed very poorly. We rarely use short cycles. Mainly for its intended purpose - washing glass.
I have already looked through all the manuals and topics, we are doing everything correctly. Only with the same introductory instructions, the dishwasher used to produce excellent soap, but now it’s average + troublesome with always undissolved tablets.

No, ugh 3 times, in time all programs are fully processed, no errors are written. The detergent was changed (and with the one we started with when purchasing) - the result was zero. Bosha wrote to the service - the answer was nothing.
