 Error A05

Post by Langollier »

Good afternoon. PMM began to glitch. I was working on the same program all the time, I set it on a timer at night, and recently an error started popping up. By all indications, the aquastop is activated and water does not fill. The drain pump makes a humming noise at first. The pan is dry.

Another thing is interesting. I set the rinse to 8 minutes, after which the full washing programs work. What is it, they started fooling their brains or aquastop? If you disconnect it (terminals) will it be open or closed?

PMM HOTPOINT-ARISTON LST 5397 constantly got error 5 (the LED blinks and 5 lights up on the screen) some time after startup. It was collecting water and error 5 popped up, after which the drain pump hummed. After searching for information on the Internet, I realized that there is no specific data on errors for my machine.
Everything indicates a problem with the water level sensor (PRESSURE SWITCH):
- I removed the sensor and blew into it - it clicks
- the contacts rang - they are closed
- I blew out the hose with the valve that goes to the sensor from the tank
- I cleaned the contacts in the connector
After these manipulations the machine started working ! I also wanted to clean the salt tank, but I didn’t have time.

What if the PMM only works with an open salt tank? And if you close the error A05 pops up? Clean the tank?

PMM hotpoint LST 53799 - error 5 - solved: 2 liters of just boiled water from the kettle to the bottom of the machine, then we launch the program (any) and everything works!!!! So we start looking for the problem with this problem.

Error a5 occurs when, within the required time interval, when collecting water from the pressure switch, no signal is received to collect water.
Before the pressure switch there is a certain reservoir - a chamber - located along the air hose. When collecting water, it is filled with water, displacing the air in the chamber towards the presostat; when a certain pressure is pumped, the presostat sends a command to the brain to collect water.
My camera in question was filled with plasticine-shaped porridge and there was nothing to hold water.

The error appears again. Now at the end of the cycle. I disassembled and washed all the components. It washes well, but apparently it drains at the end and doesn’t rinse. Is the pump covered?

A couple of liters of boiling water on the bottom of the machine, as mentioned above, and the problem is solved. Well, complete and deep cleaning of the filter and salt compartment. Four washes - so far the flight is normal.

Yes, it looks like the brine tank is clogged. It starts only if I splash a pan of water immediately after filling it

I replaced the salt tank and now turns off in the middle of the cycle. As soon as the heated water is drained, new water is poured in... and drained with the same error. Moreover, it immediately restarts easily and again until the heated water is drained.

For those interested, I fixed it. I turned the water level screw of the pressure switch two turns counterclockwise, and for three months it has already been working like clockwork. The diagnosis is overflow.

The same problem (error 5) occurred on Hotpoint-Ariston mvfta+5h. I read the comments: someone is pouring boiling water, someone is cleaning through the hole with a wire, like in this video "https://youtu.be/tnEQ5XdUkiA". This will help, but not for long.
The whole problem is that the so-called air pocket (an air bell can also be called) gets clogged. In this pocket, when the dishwasher draws water, air pressure is created, this pressure is transmitted through a rubber hose to the pressure switch and, thanks to the pressure, it, in turn, closes the contact and gives the go-ahead for washing. During long-term use, this pocket becomes filled with fats and other debris (if you can call it that) and when water is added, the required air pressure is not created in the pocket (since it already has a lid made of garbage) and, accordingly, the contact in the pressure switch does not close.
Look where the rubber hose from the pressure switch is connected - you need to remove this spare part from the machine, simultaneously turning off everything that interferes; you cannot wash it in any other way (make sure when you take it out).
In order to make your task easier when disassembling, lift the machine at least onto chairs, it will be much easier.

We just fixed error AL05 based on the above postulates. We’ve been struggling for several days now - the machine turns on and literally immediately error 05. We disassembled it, found the pressure sensor, removed it, blew it out, measured it with a multimeter - it works (the sensor is working. When the air pressure is applied, we hear a quiet characteristic click of the sensor, which indicates that the sensor is working). We installed the sensor back and, without installing the side walls of the machine, decided to check its functionality by fixing the door lock (to make it clear). It worked, the process started. Sometimes this happens: take it out, take it apart, blow it, put it back together and everything works.

In short, I poured anti-clogging agents in there. Washed it. So far there is no error and the rinsing mode is normal

Kvs, aren’t you afraid of getting poisoned? The remedy for blockages is lye  Or it will corrode something there

Thank you, kind stranger. Never in my life would I have guessed that this pocket could become so clogged. Everything looked clean, but as soon as you blew the compressor “in the return”, so much crap was thrown out of there... And yes, washing this thing is completely useless. You can’t wash it with anything.

I’m bringing a photo. It is impossible to clean it without disassembling the structure.
вот этот карман. он заварен, неразборный.
