I was told by a dishwasher installation company that it is necessary to pull a wire from the panel and install a separate machine for the machine.
Are they scamming me out of money or is it really necessary? Does a dishwasher really consume so much power that you can’t do without a separate wire?

Re: Is separate wiring necessary?
Everything is correct. It is better to run a separate wire. In the dishwasher there is such a thing as a heating element - an electric water heater, so it consumes power of about 2.5 kW (with a current of up to 10A).
Now remember how many amperes your circuit breaker in the panel is designed for? Most likely 16A. And in addition to the dishwasher, a refrigerator, TV, computer and other equipment are probably included. It will just knock out the machine and that’s it.
But if you already have a washing machine, maybe you can run a wire to it? Then use it, but try not to turn on these two high-power devices at the same time.

Is separate wiring required?
I have a vacuum cleaner 2.4 kW, iron 2.2 kW, kettle 2.2 kW. Do you propose to run a separate wire for each?
I installed a 25A machine in the kitchen. It won’t be enough, I’ll put it at 30 or 35. Pulling a separate wire is too expensive.

The machine is good, but you need to look at the cross-section of the wire - so that it is thick enough, otherwise it will overheat before the machine works, and a fire may start.
Re: Is separate wiring necessary?
It is terribly stupid to change an automatic machine if it seems that it is “weak”! The machine must protect the wiring, not the equipment or itself from being turned off! You cannot increase the machine without increasing the cross-section of the wire! Otherwise, a fire is quite likely.
