Salty dishes after washing
Good evening! PMM Beko din 15210. A problem has arisen: after washing the dishes are all covered in salt. I checked the regeneration valve, I thought there was a problem with the spring, I stretched it a little, it didn’t help. I rang the triacs in the control unit, everything is fine. Next, I launched a short washing program: the machine fills with water, heats the water - the water is not salty, the water is drained, the water is added for rinsing - the water is salty. The conclusion is that the program has failed and the brine enters the ion exchanger ahead of time. Is it possible to reset the program to factory settings? Or am I wrong and the problem is different? Please share your thoughts.

Reset: press and hold the program selection button and half load, or you can try pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds

Re: Salty dishes after washing
Good afternoon, when you press and hold the buttons there is no reaction from the PMM (for example, a sound signal). I started the sink, everything repeats: the first set of water is not salted water, the next 2 sets of water are salted. I chose the minimum hardness, it seemed like there was less salt.
Re: Salty dishes after washing
I’m wondering how salt water got into the washing chamber in the first place, as far as I know, the regeneration cycle of the ion exchange resin usually occurs during the last rinse, the solenoid valve between the container with salt and the foreign exchanger opens and allows a certain amount of water into the container, after which the corresponding amount of saturated salt solution is injected into the foreign exchanger, the saline solution remains in the foreign exchanger for about 15 minutes, during this time the resin balls get rid of calcium ions, after which the electromagnetic valve opens and passes about 3 liters of water through the foreign exchanger, which washes away the remaining calcium, then this water is pumped into sewer, this water does not enter the washing chamber.

Good afternoon Did you solve the problem somehow? Apparently I have the same thing with PMM (gorenje gv561d10)...

Re: Salty dishes after washing
Good afternoon I haven’t solved the problem, I’m going to connect a voltmeter to the valve and run the washer to check whether it is open or not when salt water enters the chamber. I’ll write after checking.
Re: Salty dishes after washing
Is the ion exchanger solenoid valve sealed? Is there no air flowing through? Are there any leaks?
Re: Salty dishes after washing
Yesterday I installed the sink, setting the water hardness to 0, but the dishes were still salty and bitter. As far as I understand, at zero, the saline solution should not be used to regenerate the ion exchange resin, i.e. The conclusion is that there is a leak somewhere.
Re: Salty dishes after washing
Bugel, thank you. I’ll try it today. Yesterday, just after washing, the salt light came on. I calculated that about 100 grams are used for one wash. salt Finish.
Re: Salty dishes after washing
Why so much? I have a box of salt finish 1.5 kg enough for 6 months, mmm Bosch, the settings are set to level 4, perhaps something is not sealed, is your salt container lid intact?
Re: Salty dishes after washing
Yoke, it also seems to me that it’s a lot... my salt is also set to 4 out of 9. The lid does not appear to be damaged, there is also a rubber gasket. I recently tried to put a bag between the lid and the neck of the tank (for sealing), but the dishes were still salty.
By the way, yesterday I tried to start the machine without salt (the salt indicator was on, the water in the salt tank was fresh) ... the result is that the dishes are well washed and finally not salty.
I called Gorenje support and left a request for a technician.

Re: Salty dishes after washing
The other day a technician came and said that the salt exchanger needed to be changed.
Re: Salty dishes after washing
On Sunday we finally changed the salt exchanger), two washes already - the flight is normal!!!
Re: Salty dishes after washing
I had a similar problem, only replacing the salt exchanger did not change anything. As a result of many hours of dancing around the machine, the master found the reason and, accordingly, the solution - too much water pressure in the water supply system, respectively, too much water flow, under which the valve in the salt exchanger opens slightly, and the salt solution enters the washing chamber. The solution was simple - the faucet on the water supply was closed to reduce the flow to a minimum - and the water pressure no longer presses the valve, the water when rinsing is fresh.
