The deposit apparently has something to do with the salt that is in the tank and the pipes that come and go from the dispenser tank in the bottom of the washing cabinet. With good lighting, look carefully at all the connections around this tank. The leak may have been temporarily corroded by salt and is on the inconvenient, invisible side.
