Good evening Bosh dishwasher is 7 years old, the most common one without automatic mode. I turned on the button, turned the knob to mode 1 and it kept washing for 1.5 hours. Today, when you turn it on, you only have to periodically scroll through the modes manually, otherwise you may stand and thresh in the washing, rinsing, or other mode until you help it move further. What could it be? Periodically, the mode knob moves on its own as it should, then again gets stuck in some mode.

Alternatively, the float gets stuck. Open the side cover, find the float, remove deposits and dirt that may prevent the float from rising/lowering depending on the water level.
