 Dishwasher Samsung DW50H4030BB

Post by Vadik »

Greetings! Samsung dishwasher DW50H4030BB error - both "Express" and "Pre-wash" indicators are blinking quickly; the dishes are wet, but cold; it looks like the water is not heating. I checked the heating element, it shows resistance, it means it is working, I checked the temperature sensor in a glass of hot water, it shows the resistance to decrease, when you cool it, it shows an increase, I checked the relay of the heating element, the winding is intact, the contacts are closed. Everything else works fine. The question is, what is the problem with the machine, almost new for 2 years, rarely used!? I found the reasons on the Internet: "the heating element is faulty", "the temperature sensor is faulty", "the heating element relay is faulty" - all this was not confirmed, "the time timer is faulty" - I don’t understand what this is about!!! Please tell me, maybe I checked something wrong or there are other reasons.

Sent after 26 seconds:
I checked the relay by drinking it and applying 12 Volt to it, the relay is working properly.

Sent after 3 minutes 44 seconds:
I also checked the water supply valve for blockages, which screws directly onto the cold water pipe. I thought maybe I didn’t fill it enough, I pulled the filter out of it, it was slightly clogged with sand and washed with rust, cleaned it, but there was no result.

Sent after 2 minutes 53 seconds:
I caught the moment after the initial soaking and rinsing off the water, if I correctly determined the cycle of the machine, I added about 3 glasses of cold water and the machine began to heat the water, but after continuing the cycle, when refilling the water for washing, the same error occurs again and the water does not heat.

Sent after 8 minutes 44 seconds:
When you turn on the "pre-wash" mode, it displays a water supply error (the pre-wash indicator blinks), although there is water in the machine. In this mode, the machine should not heat the water, but only rinse the dishes with cold water, but during operation in this mode it stops and gives the above error.

Sent after 2 minutes 33 seconds:
Everything looks like there is not enough water!!! What and where to watch in this regard!?

Sent after 1 minute 49 seconds:
Water in the machine is sprayed by rocker arms, the walls and dishes are wet, that is, water is supplied!

Sent after 28 seconds:
:wall:

Sent after 15 seconds:

I had similar symptoms, until it stopped completely, stopped watering, it turned out that the starting capacitor of the pump was dying, as a result of which there was not enough pressure, and the pressure sensor did not allow the heating element to start.

samsung dw50h4030fs
Error: does not heat up.
The heating element is good, resistance is 28 Ohms.
The circulation pump heats up at 60 ºС and does not spin.
I understand there is a sensor pressure from which the heating element turns on?
I guess either the pump burned out or the air conditioner?

We treat by replacing the starting capacitor on the circulation pump

The capacitor didn’t help. The problem turned out to be in the distributor tank on the left side. At the top there is some kind of elastic band. It became covered with calcium deposits and the water did not pour into the machine in the required quantity and the error (Flashing Pre-wash, Express) (HE) is a heating problem. I rinsed the tank with bathtub cleaning acid and everything worked. In my case, after turning on, the machine drained the water, then it began to fill and began to wash the dishes, but if you opened it, it was clear that there was not enough pressure, there was little splashing and no water flowing from the top at all. If you add 2 liters of water. The flow has returned to normal. To remove the tank inside the car you need to unscrew the grille, there is a thread there.

Many thanks to everyone who participated in this topic and left so much information!
In turn, I want to share my story and add some diagnostic information.
Actually, my Samsung DW50H4030BB dishwasher has been working for about 5 years, it starts almost every day. Sometimes, especially recently, it started to feel dull, but... This went away when I restarted and didn’t pay much attention. And the dull one is just as follows: you start it up, after two hours you open it, and some of its light bulbs are flickering, the dishes have not been washed. (well, as I remember now, it was just a preliminary wash and express).
Actually, one fine day it stopped washing completely, you start it and after a while the pre-wash and express flash. I took the instructions, read that there was a problem with heating the water... I thought, well, guess what (the water is hard, so I always add salt on time), I decided to call a technician. I read reviews about the locals, read the price lists, I understood and went to Google, horrified by both. I found this topic, at first I didn’t pay much attention, but when I spat, I took the dishwasher apart and saw a clean dishwasher (like new), I remembered and came back here. And then everything was the same: I checked the heater was alive, took apart everything next to the heater (looking for a temperature sensor), and it turned out to be a dirt sensor nearby and it seemed like some kind of relay (it closes when pressed, but in operation, as I understand it, at the required pressure, which turns it on ten). The temperature sensor turned out to be not where the heating element is, but where the pump and starting capacitor are. Actually, I took it out and tried it on - it was also alive. Well, then, relying on the experience of the other participants in this topic, I began to look for where to buy a starting capacitor, in the end I couldn’t find it in local stores, but in the local stores I bought a cheap Chinese one for 80 rubles without a bolt, connected it and started it up - and lo and behold, it all worked! Thank you! Now I ordered one as needed from Moscow, I’m waiting, by the way, several sellers also found these on Aliexpress, but delivery is longer.
Actually, additional information on diagnostics, how to understand that the starting capacitor is most likely dead. For those like me who have not started pre-washing, there is no water heating during this program, but the sound of water splashing should be heard. Until the capacitor was changed, the program started, supposedly working and the dishwasher wrote that it was finished, but there was no splashing of water, it just poured in and drained. By the way, I also tried the method of adding water, nothing changed in the behavior of the machine.
The second point that I noticed, after starting, draining and collecting water, if you listen where the engine was standing, there was a quiet hum, which, as I understand it, means that the circulation pump cannot start. And additionally, if you, like me, have a non-contact thermometer, you can measure the temperature with a non-working condenser; the circulation pump, while humming, heated up to 100-120 degrees immediately after starting, with a working condenser its temperature did not rise above 38 degrees during the pre-wash cycle.

P.s. By the way, for some time I still had a problem that in general some of the lamps stopped burning or stopped squeaking, but this was due to another thing, that the seal was already old, and even the springs had already weakened, although they were tightened to the maximum, they themselves could not open the dishwasher door close as it was originally. So now I just slam it harder and if I’m at home, after finishing washing, I open the door so that it dries well and steam doesn’t leak into the electronics.

RV2: 13 May 2020, 00:42 The capacitor did not help. The problem turned out to be in the distributor tank on the left side.
For me, too, the reason lay in the left tank. Thanks for the tip! After washing the top of the rubber tank with citric acid, the machine is back in action!
