Nata, this is an unpleasant situation, you need patience to get out of it. The powder may cause damage to the ion exchanger.
Is the powder likely to have hardened? You need to loosen it and remove the water with it from the salt container.
This is a complex process. Try to speed it up by pouring hot water into it. You loosen it, pour in water, some of the water with the powder pours out, you scoop it out, and so on. Do this until the water in the salt container becomes clear.
