 Metal shrinkage?

Post by Love »

Good day to all. This is what I encountered. Once upon a time I had pots. We lived 15 years before the dishwasher and everything was fine with them. But then we renovated the kitchen and bought a dishwasher. Less than a year has passed, the handles on the lids and on the pans began to wobble, both on my ancient pans and on the new ones. The handle on the pancake pan also began to wobble. All of these items have some kind of silver metal used in the area where the handles are attached. On pans in the form of staves, on a frying pan in the form of a decorative ring between the frying pan and the handle. The handle on the frying pan began to wobble a lot. A gap has formed between the ring and the handle. It’s on a screw, the screw is screwed in until it stops, it won’t screw in anymore, that is, it’s not the problem. So, I have a guess that this silver metal shrinks in the dishwasher. I don’t know what kind of metal it is. Definitely not aluminum, as it doesn’t darken after PM. Anyone who has handles on utensils with rivets will understand what kind of metal it is. Has anyone encountered this?
